Biocon wins APAC Award

BANGALORE: Biotechnology major Biocon announced on Wednesday that it has bagged the 2009 BioSingapore Asia Pacific Biotechnology Award. Biocon was adjusted the 'Best Listed Company' based on significant market capital, sound business model and excellent management team. Commenting on the award, Biocon Chairman and Managing Director Kiran Mazumdar Shaw said, “To be felicitated by peers in biotechnology sphere in Asia Pacific Region is a great honour.”Every year BioSingapore receives nominations from biotechnology industry associations, industry peers, academics and institutions across Asia-Pacific for the most outstanding companies or individuals in various categories. The nominees are judged by a panel of distinguished leaders in the field. BioSingapore was established in 2004 as the industry association for life sciences and biotechnology businesses based in Singapore
